Summary of the Brain Gain Summit in Albania

The Brain Gain Summit in Albania, organised by ACT FOR SOCIETY CENTRE (AfS) within the framework of the DoU(th) project, brought together young people, representatives of local authorities, educational institutions, businesses and civil society organisations to discuss youth participation and local development.

The event presented the results of the Brain Gain pilot activities and the findings of the survey on civil society organisation capacity needs. Participants exchanged experiences, identified challenges and explored opportunities for youth employment, entrepreneurship and skills development, with particular attention to young women.

Through group discussions and stakeholder dialogue, participants identified local priorities, proposed potential partnerships and discussed concrete actions to support the development of a thriving community. The summit concluded with a discussion on follow up activities and the importance of continued cooperation between young people and local stakeholders.
